Just under six feet

(Forever 21 blouse, bag, leaf ring / UO skirt / Vintage belt / Jeffrey Campbell wedges)

I finally christened my Mariels after wearing them all day at work yesterday. Welcome to the family, my babies :) Though they're very comfortable, I can only give them a 9/10 because they slip off my feet from time to time and I have to step aside to fix the slingbacks. They remind me why I dislike slingback shoes :( But anyways... I towered over most guys at work yesterday, which made me feel like an Amazonian woman with a pair of fabulous shoes :p
Another shoes story: I went to a shoe repair yesterday to re-sole my flats. I placed my order in the morning and he told me to pick them up at 5:30. I came back at 6 and he totally forgot to do my shoes. GREAT. So I told him I would pick them up the next morning around 10. I came at 11-ish and he mocked me because I didn't come at 10. WOW, THE NERVES! I will never go back. The soles look great, though.

xx toodles.

I dislike sling backs too, but these look so great on. The lace top with that skirt is lovely too.

I have the same problem with slingbacks. it's so disappointing...but sometimes it's worth it!

Loving this outfit so much!

Out of curiosity, how tall are you? Because when I wear heels I am pretty much the tallest person in the room - and I too experience that "Amazon woman" sensation, lol

But seriously, love everything in this outfit. Accessories are blowing my mind, and lace tops make my heart flutter.

I know what you mean about slingbacks! But you can never go wrong with JC wedges. I've seen a few bloggers rock that F21 bag lately. I am wanting it more and more.

Love the lace top and how you paired it with the striped skirt. Elegant as always.

Ahhh I remember seeing that lace top at F21 and not buying it; totally regret it now :( But will vicariously wear it through you! Great outfit lady, pretty nautical chic haha. I love the belt and of course your satchel and shoes! Don't you just love wearing heels and towering over boys? That shoe guy sounds like a jack ass hahaha, but as long as he does a good job, I'd just ignore his remarks.

Wearing sporty striped skirt with lace and making it even chicer is a wonderful idea! And Oh, the slingback shoes, my slingbacks have velcro on them and it opens all the time!!! Ah shoe repairs are always a pain!!! good luck with finding a new repairman!! :D And I can't wait to see how you've styled the Zara skirt :) I've worn mine today but it wasn't any creative!!!

I want your shirt!!! what a pretty AND appropriate work outfit. I always struggle with what to wear to work!
I bought those wedges too, still waiting for them. are they as comfy as they are awesome?

Wohoo, lady, you are def going through an interesting phase. Love all the romantic details in your outfits!!!

I love the full skirt with the opposing texture of the lace.

This is a very Mae outfit, in that, I would TOTALLY wear it. Minus the fabu bag. I totally want that bag.

You look amazing.

I, too, HATE slingbacks. I always love the look of them, but hate them terribly because they either pinch my feet, push them too far forward and leave squeeze marks and pain, or slip off. I've never had a good pair that I loved.

XX.

Also, that shoe cobbler is a fucking mark-ass buster. Tell him he's trifling and that his customer service sucked so much you're not coming back. That'll make him think twice.

I would totally tell him that. It may make him retort at you in a rude way, but it'll make him think to have better service and not make fun of customers.

You should've told him that you didn't show up on time because you weren't even sure he'd have remembered to complete them.
