Who wears the pants?

(H&M dress (worn as top) & belt / ZARA trousers (from Sybil) / The Sak purse / Dolce Vita boots / Forever 21 necklace)

I am at the point in my life where I feel like I have not achieved enough. I could have done more in the past, but I settled for less. I could have fought harder, but I sat back and went with the flow. A few years passed by and I started to regret my decisions. Seeing others enjoying their successes only makes me feel worthless. I am now trying to catch up with the things I should have done before. I am hoping that good things will come around eventually. Through failures and struggles, I hope to achieve the success I have been dreaming for. Cheers to a brighter future!

xx toodles.

i feel you on the regretting past decisions bit. i felt like that through all of 2009 and the early part of this year. now that i've figured out my goals, i finally feel like i'm moving in the right direction.

I kind of feel like I'm in the same boat...although it was all by choice. I don't think that feeling worthless would be the best idea tho...I believe that most people can be considered successful, it just depends what you choose to measure that success by.

Yay, the necklace! Good to see you still wearing it-- I still can't get enough of it either. Love how you paired the navy with cognac accessories. Beautiful colour coordination :D

In regards to how you're feeling, don't feel so down on yourself! You're doing a fashion merchandising program right now, no? That's amazing! And if there is ABSOLUTELY nothing else (thought I'm sure there is tons), think of all you've achieved through starting this blog!

sometimes I feel like that, but what I've learnt now is that it is the decisions that we make that takes us into the future of what is meant to happen. I say now, if you want something then go ahead and do it, with no regrets, no double thinking and no feeling worthless.

btw, you look lovely :)

We all feel like that at some point of our lives. The key is to look forward and not compare yourself to others. Work hard to keep yourself where you want to be! :)Love the outfit btw.. gotta love stripes with those pants!

I completely know what you mean (and it's worth coming from a girl who will be 30 in a few weeks)... have your sad day, and then, you've got to pick yourself up and keep it moving. Thinking about it while drive you nuts and some of us are just late bloomers... you are still a young woman, so just start pushing now!!!! God is on your side, chica.

I always feel this way. ALWAYS.

It's like you captured exactly everything I was feeling but didn't want to say out loud (or on the blog).

What did you do for Halloween? (Change of Subject.)

For what it's worth, I think you've achieved quite a bit! In our own eyes, we always see other people's achievements as bigger, brighter and more impressive.

What I see what I look at you is a confident woman who is not afraid to dress like she feels. She's loved by an endearing boyfriend (yay CL!) and has a fantastic relationship with her mom (yay Kristy's mom!). She's also studying what she loves and is supported by a network of fashion bloggers who love her. Pretty darn impressive to me.

Cheers! Hope for the best and keep reaching for your dreams (not to sound corny or anything). :)

And work those pants. They fit you perfectly.

Awe, you should try not to be so hard on yourself. Regretting never solved anything. Things will turn around, just give it time. Until then, enjoy what you love about life.

First of all, girlie. You look amazing! Love the simple, lovely outfit!

Second, you own your own home, have a good job, and an avid blog following. Seems like you've achieved quite a lot. Don't focus too much on what you don't have, but celebrate your successes instead. Everyone has their own path and I am sure you'll find yours!!!

simple chic!!! how cute are those booties??? :)

libys11 said...

first of all, you look amazing in the trousers!!! im so glad i handed them over to you!!! amazing amazing styling here!

second and more importantly.. i feel for you, kristy!! you actually just took the words out of my mouth.. i know it's bad to compare, but whenever i see my batchmates (in the philippines), i feel like im not as productive and as successful. and the worse thing is the feeling that i know i could have done something to better the situation but i ended up not being able to do it. *sighs*, but on the lighter side of things, i keep on telling myself that i'm still young and life is probably just preparing me still for the future. you're still young too, you know and just be optimistic. everything will come at the right time and at the end i think both you and i will eventually see and realize that those things we want to achieve will come to us when life knows we're ready! :D

ooppss.. sorry for the long reply, but i do hope you know what i meant! :D

What do you think about adding some more pictures? I don’t want to offend anyone, site is really nice. But according to the scientists people acquire info much more efficient if they see certain useful pictures.

Everything in your life will fall into place, Kristy. Don't measure yourself by other people's success.

I like this look - it's simple but stylish. And the necklace adds a lot of ...what's the word...specialness! (Makes it more unique!).

Wow, your post is really interesting. It's so hard to define success, like, what does it really mean? I guess it has to be a personal thing. Try not to compare yourself to others. For me, success is just trying to be my best person - that includes caring deeply for others and being considerate and not getting caught up in the 'rat race'.

Love the easy, casual look. I can't believe you were able to tuck all of that into your pants! haha But I guess the Zara trousers are quite spacious. Love the look though :) And I'm dying to find a bag similar to the saks one you have!

And to touch on your post. Everyone feels like this at one point or another. I may not have reached this point yet since I'm still having my head drilled in school, but try to step out of feeling this way. You may feel uncertain with regards to your success, but I'm confident to say that you have achieved a lot. Besides, look at how much you have accomplished from just starting this personal fashion blog of yours. It takes a long time to gain over 500 followers! Must give yourself some credit for being such an amazing blogger - that is an achievement, in my eyes at least. Don't catch yourself falling over this, you still have tonnes of time. Look at how young you are girl! You have plenty of time to catch up and to live the bright future you've been dreaming for.
