The New Length

(Forever 21 jacket & top / Local Boutique skirt / H&M belt / Nine West boots)

While many girls are sporting the maxi skirt look, I decided to take a baby step towards the trend with this below-the-knee/calf-length (??) skirt. I got it during my trip last December and it only cost me about $10 (it's fully lined, too!) ;) By the way, I received a few questions in my previous posts, so here are my answers:

1. Where did I get my glasses? Are they Raybans?
No, unfortunately they're not Raybans. They look like the real deal though, no? :) I got them in Indonesia for cheap ($50 incl. lenses).

2. For Torontonians: where's that udon place I posted last week?
It's inside the OCAD food court (Village by the Grange), called Manpuku. Just ask around :)

3. Am I going to post some progress photos during the redecoration?
I would love to, but we'll have to see about that. My place is really messy and I much prefer to share the AFTER photos than the BEFORE or DURING photos :)

4. Do I not get cold wearing skirts, tights and heels in winter?
Absolutely! Brrrr... I take pictures of my "actual outfit" (aka. no coat) on my balcony before I leave the house.  It usually takes about 10 minutes before I start to shiver and having short of breath :p When it's snowing outside, I switch my heels to my snow boots then switch back to heels at work :)

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

xx toodles.

Love the polka dot skirt and the pop of red with belt and ring is so refreshing.

So lovely, Kristy. I'm afraid to pull off a skirt of this length because I have big calves and think my legs are too masculine for such a delicate piece.... and I usually don't like the whole skirt with boots thing but this is styled to perfection! And for $10?! What an absolute steal. Your outfits have been extra amazing as of late... kudos to you!

Have a lovely week!

I always arrive to work wearing my ugly furry snow boots and then change to heels at my desk. It looks ridiculous outside, but don't give a damn. :)

I've always said that polka dots and red go hand in hand and they do! I love how you paired with lace. I will have to try that some time definitely!!!! Love this new length on you Kristy! You pull it off so well!

I love the polka dots and they look particularly cute on the cut of this skirt. Love the pop of red too.

Manpuku = best udon everrrrrr!! I love the curry.

I have an intense fear of dots, so I'm not a fan of the pattern, but the length is perfect for this cold weather we've been experiencing. Lovely red accents, doll.
