Poetry Inside My Head

(Club Monaco top (super old!) / ZARA skirt / Forever 21 necklace / MEXX clutch / Jeffrey Campbell wedges)

It all started with the skirt. I remembered having an old green blouse, so I threw that on to match the green on my skirt. It turned out that they were two different shades of green. Oh well. Then I thought of my recent jewelry find from Forever 21 that I thought would match the blue on the skirt. It turned out that the stone was turquoise, not royal blue. Oh well. My final attempt was to wear my new gray clutch that my mom got me recently. I was so sure that it would match the gray on my skirt. It turned out that the gray clutch was slightly darker than the skirt. Oh well. At least the shoes looked nice, hahahaha... :D

Have a guuuuuhreat weekend, everyone!

xx toodles.

I thought everything looked great together! Plus matchy matchy is totally overrated anyways!

But they're all in the same color family! I think it's put together and really chic!

But also maybe a little too much for the humid weather?? Or is it more humid here than there?

It was 41C the other day and totally humid. I hated it. It was ass.

I really like this not-so-matchy, matchy outfit! :) That green top is absolutely beautiful and it looks so regal. Emerald green is so pretty! And I don't usually like Jeffrey Campbell's super trendy shoes but these wedges are beautiful and elongating.

Hope you have a great weekend Kristy. I tweeted you this morning about this, but I just realized how soon you're coming! Can't wait to hang out!

I like that it's not matching. I'm not a big fan of color coordination but all the colors compliment each other. I love that skirt. I wish I could have found it in my size.

Ahaha cute, that happens to me all the time as well! I think "oh this and that could match!" and when I put it on it's not matching at all :D
BUT I think the outfit is very cute and chic anyway! It doesn't have to be matchy-matchy all of the time, I think it's fine as long as you stay in the same "colour family" with your look and that's what you did!
God, that skirt is so gorgeous! Seems like I missed it when it was in stores, what a bummer...

You're so funny Kristy! I like the matchy non-matchiness :) It's super fun and adorable, also, that skirt is phenomenal. I was going to get it at Zara when they had their huge sale, but opted out. I guess I'll be living through you again ;)!
